In October 2024, our dear colleague and friend Kristen received devastating news—she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. As a young single mom, she has faced this battle with unwavering strength and grace, enduring numerous rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Surgery and radiation still lie ahead on her journey.

Through it all, Kristen has kept a brave face for her child and those around her. But cancer is more than a medical battle—it’s an emotional, mental, and physical fight. We want to give something back to Kristen—something meaningful, comforting, and just for her.

That’s why we’re coming together to create a healing oasis: a peaceful, restorative space where Kristen can rest, recharge, and find calm amid the storm. Specifically, we hope to restore her deck—transforming it into a serene sanctuary where she can enjoy fresh air, quiet reflection, and healing.
