Hi, my name is Cynthia and I am raising funds on behalf of neighbours and friends to help Max and his family with all the upcoming costs of medical and safety equipment. A go fund me seems to be a great solution for all Max’s supporters who are all around the world, in various currencies and countries like the US, England and Canada.

Max is a bright, funny, and determined little boy. Max is living with a complex medical condition that includes seizures and limited mobility, and he now requires a wheelchair full time. As he grows, so do his needs – and the cost of creating a safe, accessible environment for him is substantial.

We’re reaching out to our community to ask for your help. We’re fundraising to cover the essential equipment and modifications Max needs both now and in the coming years.

Here’s a look at what we’re working toward and will be needed in the very near future:

️ Ceiling Lifts Throughout the Home – These are vital for safe transfers from bed to chair, bath, etc. Max will need multiple lifts, with each system costing $5,000–$8,000.

Stair Lift or Home Elevator – To give Max access to every part of the house and ensure his safety. Ballpark cost: $15,000–$25,000.

Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle Conversion – So Max can travel safely to school, appointments, and family outings. Conversion alone starts at $39,000 and goes up from there, not including the vehicle.

️ Feeding & Eating Aids – Specialized chairs, utensils, and feeding systems to help Max eat independently and comfortably. Estimated: $1,000–$3,000. These are often outgrown in 1-3 years.

Walking Aids and Therapy Equipment – Tools like gait trainers, standing frames, and therapy mats that help Max build strength and improve quality of life. Costs can run from $2,000–$10,000+ depending on the device. These are also often outgrown in 1-2 years.

Bathroom Modifications – Roll-in showers, accessible sinks, grab bars, and more. Total renovation cost: $10,000–$20,000.

These are just some of the anticipated expenses. In total, we’re looking at basic equipment pricing of over $100,000 to give Max the accessibility, safety, and dignity he deserves just in the immediate future.
