Hello,

My name is Rachel Pekkar. I have been an educator for 30 years. In 2017, I founded the wonderful Gan Kinderland, which is loved by so many.

My personal philosophy of teaching is to ensure that each child feels loved and that they are in a safe, happy, and stimulating environment. This way, the children can explore hands-on and independently. An enriching and happy environment leads to children who should feel welcome to explore the world around them. One of my goals is to touch the child’s heart so that they know just how much they are loved by their teachers and parents.

As a director and teacher, I feel I have a great responsibility to be a good role model to my students. By being a good role model, I am able to teach the children good social skills and how important it is to treat the world, creatures, and people in it with respect and kindness.

When teaching, not only do I consider the children, but also their families. I want their families to feel comfortable to ask questions, be open with us about concerns, have good communication, and mostly, be excited about what we are doing in school and want to be a part of it!

I feel I am able to give the children a good strong base of learning for the rest of their lives.

Thankfully, due to great demand, I need to expand the school and move to a bigger location so that I can continue to spread my teachings to the children of South Florida.
