We are G’Day Birdie Sanctuary, one of Australia’s largest and leading bird sanctuaries. With hundreds of birds in care each year, we fight to offer them a second chance and a brighter future.

Almost a year after relocating the sanctuary to Warragul, and spending countless hours working with engineers, builders, designers, and council workers - we have tried to cut as many corners as we can, to come to the cheapest figure possible for the aviary outbuilding.

The problem is… that figure is still AU$28,858.

That is our entire life savings. Which means that if we go ahead with construction, we are left with almost nothing, and will have to close our doors to intakes indefinitely.

We are already turning away people daily because we have no more space indoors for the birds. For us to operate sustainably into the future, we desperately need this construction to happen.

We know it seems like an astronomical amount of money, especially in this economy.

However, the truth is it amounts to less than $5 per follower. It sounds crazy, but if everyone donated $5, we could build this tomorrow. This project that we have dreamed of and worked so hard towards for years now - it is so close to being a reality.
