Help us keep Asheville alive

Donation protected
As most of you know by now, on September 26th, hurricane Helene devastated our beautiful region and our beloved town, Asheville. It is the second-deadliest mainland US hurricane in the past 50 years. Only Katrina killed more.

The situation is critical and will be for the next weeks, months...
Hundreds of thousands of people have been without home, power, water, and food for weeks now. Some people are still trapped in secluded areas and can't get help.

The government's help is minimal, most of the missions are operated by civilians and communities.
This time, this is personal. YOU and ME can make a difference.
This is my home, this is my people.

I am requesting your help in this critical time. Asheville has become a refugee camp where food and water are distributed on a daily basis, but this needs to last, as water may not be restored until the end of November. Every donation counts, even the tiniest amount. 100% will go towards helping our communities.

So far, here is a breakdown of how I have been distributing your donations:
$1000 to BelovedAVL
$500 to Mother AVL to help the communities in Swannanoa who have lost everything
$300 to Klari Farzley
$200 to Flour AVL
$465.75 to BrotherWolf
$200 to The Educational Garden Project (childcare)
$238.21 towards buying gas for people who needed it
$100 to Appalachian Wildlife
$537.64 to RADA foundation to help the artists of the River Arts District
$743.54 of supplies sent through Amazon Wishlist to Discoverashevillenc

As the temperatures are falling quickly, a second wave of donations will soon be made to address this concern.

Thank you
