On early Sunday morning, May 15th, a father, and his son were maliciously gunned down in front of their family. Both men were taken to the hospital where Zachary Blake succumbed to his gun inflicted injuries. His father, Jon, went through emergency surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

 

Zach only 25 years old leaves behind a beautiful 3 year old little boy, multiple siblings, the love of his life, and his father. He was a pillar in the family often providing financial support, love, and so much laughter and light. Originally from Maryland, he had moved to North Hollywood to explore a new coast and start a beautiful life.

 

Now Zach and Jon’s family are left with an unimaginable emptiness in grief as they mourn their loss and try to help Jon’s recovery.

 

There is so much to do in a short time, and they are trying to navigate the care needed for Jon while also trying to coordinate arrangements for Zach. There are also so many costs associated with the funeral, burial, bringing Zachary home, and hospital expenses that the unexpected financial expenses are creating a burden for the family during a time in their life that they should just be focusing on family.
