We are desperately looking for help. We bought our house 2.5 years ago in Calhan, hoping for the life we've always dreamed of. We have had "plumbing" type issues since we moved in along with countless other issues. We've lost most use of water from our well last winter. We had a company come check it out and we were told the well is going dry and we will need to drill a new one. We then have been trying to find a loan or something to help us get this done. We have been denied for every loan option and make too much money to qualify for a low income option. We now have lost all water to the house. So our 3 daughters can't flush a toilet or wash their hands. Small things most of us take for granted as well as every other regular water need you have in a house. We have pets and livestock animals we're going to have to sell most likely if we can't figure things out. Not to mention, I'm not sure how long we can live like this. Selling or losing the house would be on the horizon. Any help, donation, or share is greatly appreciated.

Every morning, the first sound I hear is our animals stirring — the soft nicker of a horse, the low moo of a cow, the playful bleat of a goat. They aren’t just livestock to us; they’re family. They give us love, purpose, and a reason to keep going, even on the hardest days.

Right now, though, we’re facing a problem bigger than we can handle alone. Our well, the only source of water for our farm, has broken. Without it, every bucket of water has to be hauled in, and with horses, cows, and goats to care for, it feels like an impossible task. The animals need water to live, and watching them wait at an empty trough breaks my heart.

The cost to fix the well is more than we can afford, and that’s why I’m here — reaching out and humbly asking for help.
