Hello Everyone, Lena is a close friend of mine and an active community member. Liza attends Stonecrest Elementary, Stephan is at West Carelton, and her oldest Andriy has just graduated from Ottawa U.

We are trying to help Lena bring her family to Canada safely from Ukraine.

(Yulia) and her boys (Oleksii - 14 and Yegor - 7) and their father escaped Kyiv end of February with what little they could take. They have, through difficulty, managed to cross the border to Poland beginning of March, having to leave their father behind, and we're blessed to find short-term accommodation.

Her boys are very bright, speak some English. She was a university teacher back in Ukraine. Her husband now is the only breadwinner and trying to work as much as he can during the war; he has abandoned his home and has to stay in town close to the Ukrainian-Polish border and rent a place to work until he gets drafted to fight. He can’t go back to Kyiv because travel is very dangerous.

We are trying to fly my sister and her boys here to Canada to stay in my home. They have nothing left. We need to fly them to Montreal or Toronto from Warsaw and get them here to Dunrobin.
