Hey world! I hope you are keeping well, My name is Phillip Gwatidzo, and I am a Zimbabwean Author based in the lovely city of Bremen, Germany with a story that I was hoping you would love to be a part of, share with your audience and assist in bringing the vision to life,
I authored the title Changamire Dombo - The Legend and I am proud to say its been recieved well back home and abroad, having been inducted into the Zimbabwean National Education curriculum as an A-Level English Literature set book, and sold across 25 countries so far, but its more than just a novel, its an emblem of taking that bold first step in telling our stories and not just stopping at telling them, but developing them for the global stage in form of film, animation and series. In essense, what's been started is a potential franchise with competence to influence the youth and future generations to scope and dream in visions where they look at the globe as an attainable market for original authentic ideas, I will share the book's synopsis at the end of the message but my challenge has really been sourcing corporate sponsorship to initiate an International Book Tour and popularize the content for other school markets, and create the momentum to get production houses to pick interest in it. Im a firm believer that we will see Changamire Dombo - The Legend's global premier in this lifetime, and im asking if you could lend your voice, your network and your wallets to bring our story to life. I hope for your support. Many many thanks,
Synopsis: a work of historical fiction inspired by a true story, about the pre-colonial Southern-African Rozvi Empire .
The narrative centers on Changamire Dombo, King of the Rozvi tribe, and his successful defense against the Portuguese army, who had sailed south of Africa to raid the mineral-rich sub-Saharan kingdom. This pivotal victory not only elevated King Dombo to Empire King but also ushered in the most prosperous era for the natives residing in the lands stretching between the modern-day Zambezi and Limpopo rivers in Southern Africa.
While the story includes the war, it primarily focuses on the prelude to Changamire Dombo's rise to power. Structured to provide a vivid and emotionally engaging picture of African traditions and ways of life prior to colonial influence, the book transports the reader back to the 1600s, offering a firsthand experience of Dombo's journey.
