Milly’s Melbourne is a small volunteer-run, not-for-profit charity based in Victoria, dedicated to helping lost, abandoned, and vulnerable pets find safety again — whether that means reuniting them with their families or getting them into care.

Over the last year alone, we have been overwhelmed with the number of cases needing our help across Victoria. From frightened lost pets with families desperately searching for them, to animals with no one looking for them at all, every case requires patience, time, resources, and around-the-clock commitment from our small team.

We are entirely funded through the generosity of donations and our own personal funds, and after such a huge year of cases, our resources have become severely depleted.

One of our current ongoing cases is the beautiful Nove

Nove first escaped with his sibling over two months ago, his sibling was captured 4 weeks later. Poor Nove has been surviving outdoors on his own, and we are working tirelessly to bring him home safely. Countless hours have gone into tracking sightings, setting up cameras, monitoring feeding stations, travelling to location sites, and adjusting strategies daily. Cases like Nove’s are emotionally and financially exhausting, but we never give up on them.

• Fuel and travel costs to case locations

• Flyers, letterbox drops, and awareness material

• Equipment maintenance and replacement

• Care and support for pets with no owners searching for them
