My name is Pedro Costa. I am a current student at The University of Florida and a recent alumnus of Boca Raton Community High School. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Acting and hoping to attain a minor in Media Production, Management, and Technology.
My whole life, I have been enamored with all aspects of the theater industry. I have been a performer since I was 4 years old, and now, at 18 years old, I want to push myself outside of my comfort zone. I have been eager to create something and learn new skills that can be beneficial to my career. As an actor first, it is often hard to step into other parts of the industry and be responsible for an entire production.
I believe that if opportunities do not come to you, go create them yourself. This is what I want to do and inspire others to do the same. Learning new skills, as well as working on discipline, leadership, and community building.
The process of putting together a show includes a ton of upfront costs, including renting a venue, purchasing the rights and materials, as well as buying equipment for lights, sound, and set building. I would love your help to spread this message and urge young artists to step out of their comfort zone, pushing themselves to achieve more than they thought would be possible!
