Help Us Bring Street Art to Life in Downtown St. Johns
Donation protected
Rebels at the Walls is a Street art Festival and Market happening on August 23, 2025, in the heart of downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland. This one-day community event will feature live mural painting, street performances, a local vendor market, and powerful public engagement around housing insecurity and economic justice.
This is the first of Its kind in St. John's and we are having troubles finding resources for it. However we believe that the artists that will be diplaying their skills, deserve to be paid. Street artists, especially those working outside of galleries and institutions, are too often undervalued or criminalized. Rebels at the Walls is about changing that. We are creating a platform where graffiti artists and muralists can showcase their talent, transform public space, and be celebrated for their work.
We are raising $25,000 to pay the 15 artists participating in this year’s event (10 local and 5 from across Canada) as well as cover some of the essential logistical cost of the event. Your donation helps cover their time, supplies, travel, and ensures they are treated with the respect and compensation they deserve.
Contributor Bonus!
Anyone who donates $50 or more will receive an exclusive art print of the work currently being created by Brian Amadi, a visual artist and the organizer of Rebels at the Walls.
This festival is celebration of community and the appreciation of difference in our society.
Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality.
