Help Us Bring Shawn Home

hello everyone, My mom’s name is Trancia Fagan and many of you know her by Shawn. She is an amazing person and a mother of 2 girls. My name is Zy’Nicia and I’m 17 and my sister, Zu’Riuna is 9. We are her daughters. She has always enjoyed working with individuals with disabilities and behaviors. She was doing this type of work before i was ever born. We want to ask for help with adding 2 bedrooms and bathroom to my memas house in Martinsburg WV. On august 2nd my mom fell at work and sprained her right foot. She continued going back and forth to doctors because it wasn’t getting better. On October 11th, she had an MRI done and was told it was dislocated and fractured. She had an appointment made in morgantown on October 18th to discuss the next steps. She then had another appointment on November 17th where they discovered she had a dime size wound on the bottom of her foot. They ran tests and the doctor didn’t feel he could accommodate her. He referred her to an orthopedic doctor in Pittsburgh which was scheduled for November 30th but she never made it. On November 26th, she was taken to the emergency room due to pain, swelling, and drainage. That night they took her into surgery where they amputated right below her knee. She has no recollection of these events prior to her waking up. she had been in the icu for a week where she was on a ventilator and had many tubes in. we were told that she became septic and almost died. She had contracted a flesh eating bacteria know as necrotizing fasciitis. Due to this infection her kidneys had been failing but they have been slowly coming back. she is now out of the icu and doing better but she is still in the hospital. she will be going to intensive rehab once she is released from the hospital. The house we had been living in is no longer suitable or accessible for her due to all of the stairs. She wants to be able to come home and visit for christmas so we are looking to get a ramp as well. That’s all me and my sister want for christmas is our mom home. It is a miracle that she is still able to be here with us. We are thankful for whatever you can give and if you can’t please share and send prayers.
