Help us bring Sandy and her babies home with us

Hi, we are Raechel and Adam Eastwood.

We've come to Mauritius for our honeymoon and fell in love with a stray puppy we've nicknamed Sandy

When we arrived at the beach Sandy followed us to our spot and shooed off all the other dogs. We thought it was to get food from us, but we had none.

She soon came to get her new nickname after throwing sand all over our towels to play and have cuddles.

She captured our hearts straight away with how gentle and affectionate she was. We realised she was very skinny and looked like she was a mum pup.

After having a snooze with us and more cuddles, we wandered the beach and rocks and she followed us along. She protected us from the other dogs nearby that came sniffing around and a bit growly.

When we was ready to leave (as much as it broke us to leave her) she disappeared and we thought she was just going back to wear she slept.

Well to our amazing surprise she brought her babies for us to say hello to. To be trusted enough for her to bring them to us was magical. They were adorable and loved to play with the string from my outfit. The smaller one was a little more scared and quiet but still very much adorable.

We fell in love more with Sandy then.

And that made it even harder to say goodbye.

It's been playing on our minds all day about how she is such a beautiful dog and just needs a loving home.

We're looking into finding a way to bring Sandy and her babies home. But it isn't cheap.

Our aim is to bring Sandy home as she will more than likely stay a stray dog and potentially killed out there as a lot of the people who live her are not nice to them. Or she would be in adoption homes and if she's left in there for a while they will eventually put her down as the kennels are over run. Whereas the pups will be adopted very quickly due to their age and cuteness whereas Sandy wouldn't.

We are asking our friends and family. If you can help us please, anything is appreciated. We want to try give them all a better life than what they have now. Whether we can bring them all home with us or just mum with us and ensure pups adopted here.

We know atm it's roughly 2-3k just for mum for vet bills, flights, vaccination ect (price varies depending on vet health check)
