As many in San Diego and beyond know, Sompathana "Sam" Nobouphasavanh is a pillar of strength and a respected leader/trade sister.
Since her detention on June 3, 2026, and with her deportation currently scheduled for June 14, 2026, her loved ones/friends have been behind the scenes to coordinate aid and support to her family.
Sam is a devoted mother and a skilled journey-level ironworker with Ironworkers Local 229. Her absence is deeply felt by her children, her husband, and the community she has helped build. The urgency of her situation has brought together friends, colleagues, and neighbors who are determined to support her family and fight for her return.
Your contributions will go directly toward Sam’s urgent legal fees, aide, and support for her family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. All funds raised are managed by a volunteer team and delivered to Sam’s husband for urgent aid and support.
We are doing everything in our power to bring Sam home, and we are grateful to have you standing with us. Every dollar, every share, and every action counts in the fight to bring Sam home to her children and her community. Thank you for your patience and your dedication to Sam and her family.
