Renzo is not just our family's dog. He is my mom’s companion. He is her comfort. He is the presence that filled the space after deep loss in her life. My mom is 74 years old. Renzo became her daily joy, her routine, her reason to smile. He is her shadow. Her soul dog. AND he is bonded to his brother Lex. This dog has a family, and we need to be reunited.
On February 23, while traveling through Florida, Renzo slipped out of our vehicle at an I-75 rest stop near exit 414 Ellisville in seconds. Since that moment, our world has felt broken.
We have made hundreds of calls. Sent hundreds of emails. Posted on 100+ Facebook Groups....Contacted shelters, rescues, veterinarians, animal control, truck stops, and news stations. We have searched relentlessly.
Based on everything we know, Renzo was picked up by someone who believed he was abandoned. We believe he is alive. We believe he is being kept safe. We believe the right message — amplified enough — will reach the right person.
That is why we are raising funds. We need to increase visibility in the most impactful ways possible: large yard signs placed strategically, professionally printed signage across multiple counties, a digital billboard along the I-75 corridor, and expanded awareness across the areas he may now be. Plus, we have found a ton of success boosting posts on Facebook, but now our family is faced with limited funds due to being displaced in Florida and the incredible exhaustion of our current financial capabilities.
