Hi, my name is Ethan, and I’m part of a small student group in the Bay Area supporting an organization called Let’s Share the Sun (LSTS). Our mission is to bring reliable solar energy to families in rural Puerto Rico who currently live with unstable or limited access to electricity.
This project started with a story that stayed with me. My friend, Ryan, participated in a service trip with LSTS in 2025 and saw firsthand how life-changing solar power can be. In many homes, something as basic as keeping insulin refrigerated isn’t guaranteed. For families managing medical conditions like diabetes, reliable electricity isn’t just convenience—it’s health, safety, and sometimes survival.
Inspired by his experience, I’ll be traveling with a team of three students from California to Puerto Rico to help install solar panels and support essential energy systems for families who need them most. We will be working directly with households where unreliable power affects everything from medical care to daily life.
The impact goes beyond individual homes. When one family gains reliable electricity, it strengthens the entire community—supporting better health, safer living conditions, and greater independence.
Every donation will go directly toward purchasing solar panels, equipment, and installation costs. Your support helps turn sunlight into something powerful: reliable energy, medical stability, and real change for families who need it.
Thank you for supporting this mission and helping create a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
