It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are asking for your help following the tragic and completely unexpected passing of our beloved friend, Tapi, in Thailand on Monday.

There are no words that can truly describe the pain of losing someone like him. What happened was a devastating freak accident, and we are all struggling to come to terms with the fact that someone who brought so much happiness, laughter and kindness into the lives of so many people is no longer with us.

Tapi wasn’t just a friend, he was a brother to us.

He was one of those rare people who genuinely cared about everyone around him. He was kind, caring, considerate, funny, warm-hearted and unbelievably happy, with the most unforgettable laugh. To say he lit up a room is an understatement. He had a way of making people feel welcome, supported and comfortable, no matter who they were. He never hesitated to help someone who needed it, and he would have gone out of his way for a complete stranger without expecting anything in return.

He supported the people around him through good times and bad. He celebrated other people’s happiness as if it were his own, and his presence made life brighter for everyone lucky enough to know him.

And how lucky we are to have known Tapi.

He was deeply loved by so many; his mum and dad, his older brother and sister, his wider family, and the countless friends whose lives he touched. Hes also a much-loved and adoring uncle, and the love he had for his family was something truly special.

Right now, our only wish is to bring Tapi home, back to the people who love him, so that his family and friends can be together, say goodbye properly, and give him the funeral and celebration of his life that he deserves.

The costs involved in bringing someone home from Thailand and arranging a funeral are overwhelming, particularly at a time when his family should be given the space to grieve rather than having to worry about the financial burden.

We are therefore asking for your help.
