Help us bring our mom, Gloria, back home to El Salvador ❤️

Hello everyone. We are Enrique Hernández Girón and Belinda Renee Del Valle Girón and today we are reaching out to ask for your help for my mother, Gloria Belinda Girón, as our family goes through one of the most painful chapters of our lives.

Gloria is facing advanced metastatic cancer that has affected her lungs and spread to other parts of her body, including her liver, bones, stomach, and abdomen. Her illness has progressed, and while we continue to surround her with love, care, and hope, we also understand the gravity of her condition.

Despite everything she has had to face, my mom has shared a very special and deeply important wish with us: when her journey in this life comes to an end, she wants to return to her home in El Salvador and rest near her mother.

To us, Gloria is so much more than a diagnosis. She is our mom, our guide, and a person whose love has shaped our lives. During this difficult time, all we want is to surround her with the same care she always gave us and ensure that her wishes are respected with dignity.

Although Gloria was not born in El Salvador, she arrived there when she was only four years old. That is where she grew up, built her life, created her memories, and found the sense of belonging that made El Salvador her true home. It is the land she carries deeply in her heart and, above all, it is the place where her own mother rests.

Being able to return to her roots and one day rest near her mother means everything to Gloria. Knowing that we will be able to fulfill this wish brings her immense peace, and to our family, it means more than words can express.

Unfortunately, while we try to focus our energy on loving her and keeping her comfortable, we are also facing the financial reality of the preparations that will eventually be necessary. We have created this GoFundMe campaign to help our family cover expenses related to:

• Her current medical and palliative care needs.

• Medications dedicated to keeping her free of pain.

• Funeral and preparation expenses in the United States.

• Documentation, apostilles, and permits required for international transfer.

• Transportation and repatriation of her remains from the United States to El Salvador.

• Funeral and burial expenses in El Salvador.

Preparing for the possibility of losing a mother is something no one is ever truly ready for. Having to think about costs and logistical arrangements while she is still here with us makes an already painful situation even harder. Right now, our priority is simple: to give Gloria all the love, dignity, and peace we can. And when that difficult day comes, we want to be able to keep the promise we made to her.

Asking for help is not easy for us, but a burden becomes lighter when it is shared. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us care for Gloria today and prepare to honor her memory tomorrow.

If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing this campaign with family, friends, churches, or members of your community would be an immense help to us. Above all, we deeply appreciate your prayers for Gloria and our family.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking a few moments to learn her story and for keeping us in your thoughts during this difficult journey. We do not know exactly what the coming days will bring, but what we do know is that we want the time she has left to be filled with peace, love, and the certainty that she will return home.
