My reality was stripped from me, and now the sounds of silence ring through the house where my children’s laughter once filled every room. We would do anything for our children—I risked my life to have them, and I would risk it all over again and again. The pain of being separated from them is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Every day, I hear the phantom cries of my three youngest babies, and I have nightmares of my son holding onto me so tightly, only to have him taken away. I would give anything to have my children back in my arms.
