Help Us Bring Our Butter Girl Back Home
Donation protected
Our “deemed dangerous” dog with no valid evidence, NO FACTUAL EVIDENCE! - she got out without her muzzle (which is required once deemed dangerous) while my mom was home watching my oldest son. Last Friday, they seized her and unfortunately, animal control has stuck me with astronomical fines and is telling me if they’re not paid within 5 days, she will become their property, and due to her being deemed dangerous, they have no option to adopt her out and will euthanize her. I’m devastated, the kids are going to be devastated. I even asked if I pay her redemption fee and boarding costs (which is $500) and pay the over 1k in citations later, IF I was able to find a rescue who would accept aggressive dogs, would that be an option to avoid her being euthanized? And she flat out said, “No, we don’t do that.” …… Are you not in the business of SAVING animals?! I’m so angry! I’m hurt! Our butter girl has grown up alongside my babies. 6 years!! My heart hurts, this situation is so messed up! FIVE DAYS?! They did it deliberately to make it unaffordable. When I asked WHY the redemption fee was $500, why is it so high? It wasn’t that high before. I was told, “because that’s what we made it.” She didn’t get out and attack anyone, she didn’t hurt anyone, but because she was outside without her muzzle off my property, they have fined me a total of $1750.00 to pay within 5 days or she will become their property, and they will euthanize her. My main goal is to raise enough money to get her home! I’ve never made a GoFundMe, I’ve never asked for help. But I’m a single mom, busting my behind to make ends meet, I don’t have a spare $1750.00 just laying around. I could use a credit card; however, per animal control, they accept cash or money orders ONLY. Which in itself is absolutely absurd, especially asking for that amount of money in such a brief time frame. Please, if you can help me save our girl from an unfair and unjust euthanasia, please consider donating. Anything at this point will help. I know, “it’s just a dog!” But to me, and my children, she is our family. Our hearts are broken.
