We need your help.

On Wednesday, January 29th, my wife and I rushed Ollie to the ER. He was throwing up, stumbling, and really weak. We were really scared and did not know what was wrong with him. It turns out he has a severe gastrointestinal disease, he was really dehydrated, and in critical condition for almost 24 hours. We stayed up all night hoping not to get a phone call saying Ollie was gone. We were not sure if he was going to make it. On Thursday, we were told we needed to come say our goodbyes. He was very weak and disoriented; they didn't think he would make it. Fortunately Ollie, like us, is stronger than people think he is. After removing over 100mL of fluid from his belly, he was stable enough today to wake up and we've been traveling up to north county every chance we get to be with him. Although he is slowly improving, he's still not eating on his own, has inflammation in his stomach, and they are not sure if he had a stroke. His body temperature got so low they asked us to decide if we wanted to continue treatment. We were devastated but decided not to give up on him. We know how strong he is.

Ollie is a fighter. When I first got him he was only 1 lb. He was mistreated by his previous owner and struggled to gain weight. Now, 8 years later, he's fighting again. He's in the hospital right now, getting 24/7 care, in the ICU. We're asking for your help to get our baby home. His medical bills are very expensive, every day he stays at the hospital we get a new bill ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 and they will keep piling up as he will need extensive care at home once he can safely return to us.

It is really hard for us to reach out for help. Especially knowing how much others are struggling. We are desperate and only want to be able to take care of our baby. Anything you can give would be appreciated. We love Ollie so much and miss him every minute that goes by. He has a funny personality, is always getting into things, and is really loving. Please help us to get our baby home and get him the care he needs.

We are both already exhausted trying to keep up. I didn't know how much it would cost to keep Ollie alive and healthy. It doesn't make sense to discontinue care when he is finally stable and fighting for his life. We are doing everything we can and it's not enough financially. We know it sounds like too much money, so we are sharing his current bills below for transparency.
