Dear Friends,

We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea for help to reunite our family with our beloved rescue dog, Lotus.

Lotus’s story is nothing short of miraculous. Born on January 1, 2024, the same birthday as Dermot’s, her life began under heartbreaking circumstances. Abandoned just hours after birth in Costa Rica, Lotus was the only survivor from a litter of six. Her five siblings didn’t make it, and she was left fighting for her life at just seven days old.

We were asked if we could provide a home for this tiny, fragile pup. The moment we saw her, we knew she wasn’t just a pet — she was family. We named her Lotus, a symbol of resilience and rebirth, and she quickly became the heart of our lives. Her playful spirit and unconditional love brought us so much joy and healing.

Now, as we’ve relocated to the UK to begin a new chapter in our lives, a massive challenge stands in the way: bringing Lotus home to be with us. The journey is complex and expensive, involving strict regulations, vaccinations, health checks, and flight arrangements to ensure her safety and well-being.

Why We Need Your Help

The journey to bring Lotus to the UK involves adhering to strict regulations, vaccinations, health checks, and flight arrangements to ensure her safety and well-being. Here’s a breakdown of the steps and costs involved:

Veterinary Preparation

Microchip, rabies vaccination, blood tests, and a health certificate.

Cost: $385-$925.

Flight Costs

Lotus will need to travel in the cargo hold for safety and compliance.

Flights from Costa Rica to the UK, via the USA: $1,700-$4,500.

Pet Carrier and Equipment

IATA-approved pet carrier for a safe journey: $50-$300.

Additional Costs

Pet relocation services (optional but highly recommended for complex logistics): $2,000-$7,000. (INSANE COSTS!) :(

Our Goal

We’re looking to raise $7,000 to 8k cover the essential costs of this journey. This includes:
