Hello, my name is Juwan Willis Jr., and I am from Flint, Michigan. I am writing on behalf of my mother, my sisters, my auntie, cousins, and nephews as we navigate the heartbreaking loss of my grandmother.

On Friday, January 10th, our beloved grandmother, Lottie May Byrd, peacefully passed away in Florida. Grandma Lottie was the heart of our family—a loving, kind, and resilient woman who always put others before herself. She had a strong faith and a beautiful spirit that touched the lives of everyone she met.

Her final wish was to be laid to rest in Michigan, alongside her beloved mother. We are committed to honoring her wish, but we are facing significant financial challenges. This past hurricane season caused unexpected hardships for our family, depleting the resources we would have used for these expenses. Now, we need help to transport her back to Michigan, cover funeral costs, and ensure she is buried where her heart always belonged—beside her mother.

The morgue in Florida for her care and transport preparation.

Transportation costs to bring her home to Michigan.
