Help Us Bring Jesse Farber-Rex Home

Jesse Farber-Rex, a 29-year-old father of two, went missing on August 11, 2015, in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, under mysterious circumstances. In a final, frantic call for help, Jesse said: “Bring guns, I’m in a tree. 10–11 coyotes are after me, and my phone is about to die.” He described being on two separate mountains before the call dropped. He was never heard from again.
For nearly a decade, Jesse’s family has refused to give up. They’ve followed every lead, organized community searches, and worked tirelessly to keep Jesse’s case in the public eye. Despite media coverage, podcasts, and billboards, no definitive answers have come—until recently.
In May 2024, new cell phone data revealed Jesse likely was not in the original search area but instead on the treacherous mountain behind Tamaqua Elementary School. This area—dense with cliffs, mine shafts, and deep woods—has never been professionally searched.
Now, with expert help, we have a rare chance to change that.
The family is working with Steve Fischer of Search Investigations—the nation’s leading missing persons agency. Steve Fischer is an expert private investigator and search and rescue specialist with over 20 years of experience in missing persons cases. Since 2023 alone, 27 missing people have been found due to the dedication of Steve Fischer and Search Investigations. He is known to work on some of the most well-known national cases still to this day. Steve has been featured on many platforms to give his expert advice on missing cases such as Nancy Grace.
Steve and his team plan to analyze Jesse’s cell data to pinpoint his location during that final call and launch a large-scale, professional search. The plan includes:
• A 2-day pre-site inspection and analysis
• Further cell tower analysis
• A 3-day search by national-level recovery teams
• Cadaver K9 units, drones, ATVs, underwater ROVs
• A 2-day community-led follow-up search
