I'm excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Team USA in beach volleyball at the 2025 Deaflympics in Japan this November! It’s an amazing chance to compete on the world stage and show the strength and spirit of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
A little about me: I was born with moderate hearing loss and have worn hearing aids since 2nd grade. Sports have always been a big part of my life, but beach volleyball quickly became my passion. It gave me confidence, lifelong friendships, and leadership skills. Even with the challenges of hearing loss, I learned how to connect with my teammates through trust, hard work, and our shared love for the game.
Through years of dedication, I earned a Division I beach volleyball scholarship—a dream come true. I recently graduated from ULM with a degree in Sports Management. Now, playing in the Deaflympics is an even greater honor. I hope to inspire other young athletes who may be facing similar challenges to believe in themselves.
Unlike the Olympics, the Deaflympics receives no funding, so athletes like me rely on donations and sponsorships to cover all costs, including:
Training and coaching
Travel and lodging in Japan
Tournament fees and team gear
Interpreter support for communication
Your support can make a real difference! Whether it’s a donation, sponsorship, or simply spreading the word, every bit helps me get closer to this dream.
If you’d like to contribute or learn more, please contact me. Donations can be made by mail or online—just reach out for details.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey. Let’s go Team USA! The road to gold starts now.
