It isn’t uncommon for God to place the calling of becoming a parent on someone’s heart. And, in most cases, this can be achieved in the most natural way… However, after nearly 10 years of trying to have a baby via that natural way, God has placed a different mission on Tim and Diana’s hearts. Adoption. And the cost of adoption is the reason that I’ve decided to set this page up, on behalf of my brother and his wife.
It wasn’t an easy realization for them that adoption would be their experience, and much had to be grieved along the way. In fact, Diana was able to get pregnant at one point, and the result was heartbreaking. After a miscarriage at 5 months along, she had to go through the devastating experience of delivering her lifeless child. Though the experience has never left her, and the baby she couldn’t bring home will always remain in her heart, she never gave up her dream of becoming a mom.
Tim and Diana have lovingly watched as many of their closest friends and family members have become parents, while also wondering when it would be their turn to be called “Mommy and Daddy.” They have sent encouragement and support to the parents around them on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, trying to hide the constant feeling that something was missing in their lives. They have taken on the role of Uncle and Tía to my five children, and the rest of their nieces and nephews, in such a way that makes it obvious that their world will revolve around the baby God chooses for them! They are so ready, and I just can’t wait to see Uncle Tim and Tía Diana promoted.
Speaking of that promotion… The baby who gets to call my brother and his wife its “Mommy and Daddy” will be lucky indeed. His or Her life will be filled with laughter, considering Tim has the sense of humor and contagious laugh that will catch even the most stoic of people off guard. He or She will be advocated for, encouraged, and supported, as Diana only knows the deepest level of loyalty when it comes to family. He or She will have ample opportunities to play at the park, play in sports, cook, camp, fish, shop, explore fashion, etc. Tim and Diana live life fully, and the opportunity to share their sense of happiness and adventure with a child of their own will be made possible with some help from friends and family, as their parenting endeavor is planned to cost $32,000 (to cover Home Study, Application, all required courses and fees, and Birthparent Support). Please consider playing a role in helping their parenting dreams come true!
