Five years ago, when I was 14, I lost my mom after she fought cancer for 8 years and COVID twice. This whole time, I was under the assumption that we as a family had her ashes somewhere stored away or something. 

Just yesterday, I learned we actually do not have possession of her ashes because we have yet to pay the funeral home for them. I know for a fact she would have stopped at nothing to bring our ashes home if it were one of us who passed, so in my eyes it is only fair and LONG past due to bring her home.
