Help Us Bring Healing and Change After Amy’s Abduction

Our family has been living every family’s worst nightmare. Amy, my niece, was abducted on Sunday, September 21, 2025, after what should have been a joyful day of shopping for homecoming. 

The days that followed Amy’s abduction were absolute torture. Every hour that passed felt like a lifetime, and we were terrified for her safety. We knew something was wrong, but the police did not treat her case with the urgency it demanded. Being told again and again to “wait and see” and that a “juvenile runaway was not a crime”, while we knew she was abducted was unbearable. No family should ever have to fight to convince authorities that their child’s life is worth immediate action.

The pain, fear, and uncertainty of this moment is unbearable, but we are determined to fight for Amy, for her healing, and for lasting change.

We are raising $15,000 to cover:

• Therapy and trauma counseling for Amy, who will need intensive and ongoing support after this horrific ordeal.

• Legal fees as we push for accountability and fight for Amy’s protection.

• Advocacy and awareness work to change outdated laws that put teenagers at risk.

The heartbreaking truth is that the only reason Amy’s life was saved on Thursday, September 25, 2025, was because Investigative Solutions, a private investigator firm, immediately took on the case and acted when every second mattered. Not every family has the resources to hire private investigators at a moment’s notice. That should never be the deciding factor in whether a child comes home safe.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who shared Amy’s story, posted her photo, spread the word, and refused to let her name disappear. It was because of your voices, your prayers, and your persistence that Amy is home today. Our family will never forget the outpouring of love and support from friends, neighbors, and strangers across the country.

But there is more work to do. Right now, Amber Alerts are not always issued for missing teenagers if authorities suspect they “ran away.” In today’s world, too many teens are lured online, groomed, and taken against their will. The times have changed, and the laws must change with them.

Every dollar donated helps us provide Amy the care she needs, while also fueling the fight to protect other children and families from going through this trauma.
