Aloha, my name is Jamiana, and I’m the founder and designer of Hilia Swim, a handmade swimwear brand based in Kona, Hawaiʻi.
In September 2026, Hilia Swim was invited to present a collection at New York Fashion Week. This opportunity is something I never imagined when I first taught myself how to sew—but it’s also something I don’t want to experience alone.
As a Native Hawaiian brand, it’s important to me that this moment creates access for others. My goal is to bring local Hawaiʻi models to New York Fashion Week and give ʻōpio from our islands the chance to walk a global runway while staying rooted in who they are and where they come from.
Every Hilia Swim piece is made by hand, with intention and care. This journey has always been about quality, representation, and honoring our community.
Traveling from Hawaiʻi to New York with a full team comes with significant costs, including airfare, lodging, fittings, and show production. Your support will directly help make this opportunity possible—not just for me, but for the local talent we bring with us.
Thank you for believing in small beginnings, handmade work, and the power of community.
With gratitude,
Jamiana
