It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Greg — his loss has left a deep hole in our hearts.
Myself, Dallas Aramoana , my Nan, Edith and my sister , Jayana Aramoana received a call that changed our lives on the 20th of March. Greg, but as I knew him, Papa, took in me and my sister very young whenever we needed him, he has also for 40 years, been supporting and loving my Nan, Edith. We all found out from Papa's friends that he had passed in a motorbike accident. This was heartbreaking for us and anyone who knew him. As we come together to honour Greg's memory, we're faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral costs and transporting him to his final resting place, where he always wished to be — surrounded by family and love.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and kind strangers for support in helping us give Greg the peaceful farewell he deserves. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering:
Funeral service and burial costs
Transport fees to bring Greg home from Canberra to Western Sydney for a memorial/funeral and then to New Zealand, his home where his parents lay whom have also passed away within the last few years. This is what he would have wanted if he was here.
Any additional end-of-life arrangements
If you're unable to donate, we completely understand — but sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Greg was loved by so many, and we’re grateful for any help in giving him the respectful and loving goodbye he deserves.
With love,
Greg’s Family & Dallas, Greg's Grandson
