My name is Ellen Darnell. My husband was Garry Darnell some of you may have known him as "Ben". On Monday, Nov 8th, I was notified by the Contra Costa Sheriff's Dept that he had been found deceased on a park bench. Garry struggled with his mental health and addiction. He was only 36years old. He died with nothing and unfortunately I too struggle financially. The least expensive cremation I have found is approx. 1500. The county seems unwilling to waive or reduce any of their fees. The corner told me if I don't pay, they, "throw him away". He deserved more than this. It is with great joy I learned today Garry came to the Lord before his death. Please help if you can otherwise the county will throw him away. He was loved by his wife, his family and his friends. Please help me bring him home.
