UTV is proud to present the short film Forbidden Fruit. Production will begin in late February and wrap at the end of March. Any donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will go directly toward props, set decoration, wardrobe, and feeding our hardworking cast and crew.
We are a group of students passionate about telling stories that matter to us. Forbidden Fruit explores creativity, validation, and the cost of chasing attention in a digital world. We are incredibly excited to bring this project to life, and your support will help us turn this creative vision into a finished film.
"Theodore, a blocked artist whose colorless life is punctured by a sudden burst of social media attention after he creates a fruit portrait that goes viral. His new life, beginning vibrant and overstimulating, gradually rots as the fruit—once fresh and inviting—decays with his fame along with it. Under the pressure to perform and with people turning against him, he must confront the emptiness left behind and decide whether to chase an audience of short attention spans or return to creating work that reflects who he actually is."
Fame is sweet. Until it rots.
