It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Felicia Oprah Freeney, affectionately known as “Opi.” On September 1, 2026, God called Opi home after 22 beautiful years of life.

Opi was so much more than a daughter, sister, mother, family member, and friend. She was a beautiful soul who was deeply loved by her family, friends, children, and community.

At only 22 years old, Opi had already accomplished so many meaningful milestones. She volunteered with the Young Women’s Freedom Center, where she used her voice to stand up for young people and fought for the closure of juvenile hall. Opi cared about her community and wanted to make a difference in the lives of others.

But above everything else, Opi was a mother.

She leaves behind her two beautiful children, a daughter and a son, whom she loved more than anything in this world. Her babies were her heart, and anyone who knew Opi knew that she would do absolutely anything for her children.

Opi also leaves behind her little sister, friends, and people throughout the community who loved her dearly. Losing her at such a young age has left a pain and emptiness that words simply cannot describe.

Our family is now asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. We are raising funds to bring Opi back home so that we can give her the funeral service and homegoing celebration she deserves.

Donations will help our family with:

• Bringing Opi home
• Funeral and burial expenses
• Her homegoing service
• Repast expenses
• Supporting her two children and her sisters during this difficult time

Any remaining funds after Opi’s funeral and homegoing expenses are taken care of will go toward supporting her children and sisters as they begin navigating life without her.

No donation is too small. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser means just as much to our family.

We appreciate every donation, every share, every prayer, every phone call, and every person who has shown our family love during this heartbreaking time.

Thank you in advance for helping us bring our beautiful Opi home and allowing our family to give her the celebration of life she deserves.

22 years was nowhere near enough. Your babies, your family, your friends, and your community will carry your memory forever.

WE LOVE YOU OPI. ️

Forever 22.
Forever Loved.
Forever Opi.
