It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Elly Gumba, who left us suddenly on June 20th, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Elly was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend, devoted rhumba enthusiast, and cherished community member, whose presence touched the lives of many with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support.

As we come to terms with this immense loss, we are faced with the difficult task of bringing Elly home to Kenya so he can be laid to rest among his loved ones. We are reaching out to our extended family and community for assistance in covering the costs of repatriation and funeral, including airfare, body preparation, clearance procedures, and memorial arrangements back home.
