Help us bring Donald Desautels home

We are devastated by the sudden passing of Donald Desautels; better known as Don or Donny by his friends and family. Don was 35 years old and a dedicated father to two children, Olivia (8) and Casey (3).

 

The circumstances surrounding Donald’s death are confusing and difficult for the family to understand. What we do know is that his absence is felt profoundly. He was a life force with an infectious energy felt by all who knew him. He was a karaoke king, our very own rock star, and far from a “simple man”. He loved every movie no matter how cheesy it was; he dreamed of a being a movie star. Don loved his family and friends immensely. He made sure to talk to every person in the room and somehow made them each feel special. Don would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He loved big and he lived large. His life was cut too short. 

 

Don was an amazing dad to his children. They were his whole world and all he wanted was a better life for them. 

 

In this peculiar situation, the family is faced with unique logistics and expenses associated with returning Don to Canada. In addition to these unexpected expenses, they are faced with the financial burdens of the funeral arrangements as well as to ensure his children have support as they grow. We are asking for your support in bringing Donald home. Any proceeds that remain after his expenses are paid will be equally divided for his children, held in trust, and managed by his family.
