Hi, my name is Jacob, and Im an independent filmmaker who wants to make a difference in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with the arts of film. "Demanded Perfection" is a film we need help bringing to life, as it focuses about a queer perspective of accepting yourself for who you are. Protecting trans kids, trans peoples, and members of the LGBTQ community is so important to us, and we find that an 8 minute film can make a positive change in the community.

Pride is sometimes hard to find, in any stage of life, whether it be about your sexuality, gender, or even identity. "Demanded Perfection" is in hopes to inspire others to be accepting of themselves.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I found it hard to see a world that would accept me, for countless years. Since meeting my amazing boyfriend, my life has changed, and filled with pride. He has shown me that there is nothing to be ashamed of, and accepting yourself is the first steps. My life changed. So much. In the best way possible.

I want to make a difference, and help young queer peoples, all queer peoples, and those questioning. Those who donate will have their named featured in the credits of the movie (optional) and will be helping us make a change.

Whats so different about this film?

Coming out is scary, and theres so many movies that surround that fear. For me, I was out, but for the longest time I couldn't accept myself. The fear of identity, self judgement, and dysphoria can deeply impact ones mental state. It's so important for me to make this movie, as I want to inspire other individuals at ANY age that it is okay to question how you identify. Gender dysphoria is real. We especially need to protect trans kids.

ABOUT THE FILM:

Demanded Perfection invites the viewers to two characters, Fox, and Raven. Both of them have been dating each other for several months, Raven is openly gay and Fox is not. Although Raven is okay with this, he sees that something is holding back Fox.

The two are lovers, meant for eachother destined by the universe, and they both know it. Raven wants to take the next steps in the relationship by doing simple couples activities, like holding hands in public, meeting eachothers families, and more. Fox holds back on these ideas, and causes Raven to start questioning their relationship.

Fox explores his identity, with makeup. This is a dreamlike visual project, lead by love, gender, and identity.
