Have you ever looked out at the ocean and felt a sense of peace? The sea gives us so much, every second breath we take comes from the ocean. But right now, beneath the surface, it is quietly suffocating.
Hi, I’m Valentina Müller. I founded Coral Print because I couldn't just stand on the shore and watch the vibrant, lifegiving reefs of the Mexican Caribbean turn to grey rubble.
In Paamul, where our project is based, coral reefs are the beating heart of the sea. They are safe havens for countless marine animals, the shield that protects our coastlines, and the lifeline for local families. But today, they are dying at a terrifying rate. We are losing the colors, the life, and the magic of our oceans.
But I refuse to let that be the end of the story.
We are building a lifeline. We are building Coral Park.
Coral Park isn’t just an idea; it is a living, breathing underwater sanctuary. Imagine a place beneath the waves where broken, vulnerable corals are nursed back to health. A place where stunning underwater art becomes a thriving new home for fish and marine life. A place where the local community is empowered to protect their own backyard.
For decades, tourism has taken from the ocean. We are flipping the script. Through this new model we evolved in regenerative tourism, our visitors don’t just observe the ocean—they get their hands wet and help us heal it. We leave nature better than we found it.
But right now, we need a lifeline of our own.
We are a passionate, multidisciplinary team combining the experience, the science, the community, and we have a solid plan. But we are in the most fragile stage of any dream: the very beginning.
During this first crucial year, Coral Park is not yet financially self-sustaining. We are literally building the foundations—planting coral nurseries, training our local team, and setting up the infrastructure. To keep our baby corals alive and our project running, we urgently need about $120,000 MXN (approx. $7,000 USD) per month.
Here is exactly how your donation brings the ocean back to life:
- Nurturing Life: Maintaining our coral nurseries to give baby corals a fighting chance to grow.
- Creating Homes: Building safe underwater habitats where marine biodiversity can thrive again.
- Empowering People: Providing fair wages, training, and jobs for our hardworking local team.
- Inspiring the Future: Funding marine education programs for children in our local community.
- Staying Afloat: Covering the essential permits and daily operations to keep the project moving forward safely.
FIRST PHASE: The Coral Park Guardians
A dying reef doesn't just hurt fish; it hurts the people who depend on it. That is why our first and most important goal is to train our first 10 Coral Park Guardians.
These Guardians are local community members who are stepping up to become the protectors of their own backyard. They will be the hands that plant the corals, the scientists who monitor and maintain the ocean nurseries, and the expert guides who will teach visitors how to regenerate the reef.
Our Crucial Timeline
We have a very specific, urgent plan for this year:
Summer (July/August): We are expecting a very harsh, hot summer. To protect our most vulnerable baby corals, we will keep them safe in our laboratory. While the corals grow safely indoors, our 10 Guardians will use these months for intensive training, monitoring the wild reef, and designing our breathtaking artificial reef structures.
September: Once the ocean cools, the magic happens. We will move the strong laboratory corals into our ocean nurseries!
My promise to you is this: we are not asking for endless charity.
Coral Park is designed to be a fully self-sustaining ecosystem. Soon, our regenerative tourism model will fund the reef restoration entirely on its own. But right now, we are planting the seeds, and we need your help to help them grow. We need a bridge to get there.
The ocean belongs to all of us, and right now, it needs our help. Whether you can give $10, $50, or $500, you aren't just making a donation. You are planting a piece of coral. You are supporting a local family. You are sparking a movement.
Here is exactly what your donation does today:
- $25 helps nurture 1 coral fragment
- $50 provides essential training materials for our local Guardians.
- $100 funds one local Coral Park Guardian for a full day of training, reef monitoring, and care.
- $500 sponsors the materials to build one underwater coral nursery structure.
Help us reach our Phase 1 goal!
Please, donate today and share our story with your friends and family. Become a founding member of Coral Park, and let’s heal the reef, together.
With endless hope and gratitude,
Valentina Müller & The Coral Park Team
