Help us bring Black Swans back to Leeds Castle

You may have noticed over the past year that the iconic Black Swans have been missing from Leeds Castle.

Due to outbreaks of avian flu across the country over the past year, all captive birds were required to be penned for an extended period to keep them away from wild birds. Sadly, despite the loving care of our Wildlife Team at the Castle, the lack of exercise and social interaction led to all of our Black Swans dying before the penning order was lifted.

This has been absolutely devastating for the team at Leeds Castle, as well as the thousands of visitors who love seeing them sail majestically across the Moat.

We now have the opportunity to acquire a new flock of Black Swans, but prices have risen hugely and the charity needs your help to bring these beautiful creatures back to their long-term home at the Castle.
