We are raising funds for our student short film "April 22nd" - a dramatic narrative film exploring grief, loss, and the importance of support from those you love.
After getting the job of her dreams, a young woman named Harper decides to go home to her
parents to surprise them with the good news. She arrives at an empty house, and while she waits for her
parents' arrival, she happens to look at the calendar. It’s April 22nd, the anniversary of her twin sister's
death; a day she has always avoided being around her family. Soon enough, her parents come home from visiting
their child's grave, and Harper tries to avoid the subject matter altogether. Unfortunately for Harper, the
reality of the day must come out, the pain cannot be avoided, but little does she know, she will grow closer to her
parents in the process.
"April 22nd" is written and directed by the award-winning director Elliot Lanzer ("Lucas + Claire"), produced by Ellie Ode ("Talk", "603 Seconds"), and created with the support of an amazing, talented, and passionate crew.
If you’d like to support our student short film and our crew, we would be eternally grateful! "April 22nd" starts production on March 20th, and our goal is to raise $1,500 to purchase props, feed our cast and crew, and bring this story to life!
