Help us bring Antonio back home

Hello, my name is Jada and I am seeking your help on behalf of my dad, Antonio Alonso.

 

On Saturday, August 20th my dad had a stroke and another one the next morning, both happening less than 24 hours apart.

 

Being the primary provider for our family, my dad didn’t want to go to the hospital as he was in the midst of working, but after the second stroke Sunday morning, he had no other choice.  

 

Upon arriving at the hospital on Sunday, my dad was rushed into emergency surgery where the doctors found 2 blood clots in his brain.

 

Unfortunately, the doctors were only able to remove one of the blood clots leaving the other one in. They were not able to remove the other clot because this clot was more severe and appeared to have unknowingly been blocked for many years.

 

After surgery on Sunday, he appeared to have been improving and we were hopeful he would be making a speedy, but Tuesday morning he’d taken a turn for the worse and wasn’t getting any blood flow or oxygen to his brain and was rushed into emergency surgery for a second time.

 

As my dad was being prepped for his second surgery, the doctors told my mom and I that the chances of my dad surviving surgery and recovering would be 50-50.

 

Since my dad’s second surgery he has lost all movement on the left side of his body and will need intense physical and speech therapy for a minimum of 90 days or longer.

 

Again, my dad is the primary provider for our family and works with his hand. My dad is a hardworking man who would help friends, family, and anyone in need. He is self-employed, owns a small business, and never likes to let his customers down. My dad works long days and many hours a week to provide for us.

My dad has no health insurance so my mom and I will have to pay for everything out of pocket and we are trying our best to give him everything he needs to get back to normal.  

My mom is seeking additional employment and I was supposed to start college Monday (08/22/22) but had to withdraw from school to seek additional employment to help my mom with the basic household expenses.

 

Antonio is a loving husband, brother, son, and father of 3 who doesn’t like to ask for help even when he really needs it, but at this time, we are all in need of your help. I am asking for anyone who would help my family with my dad’s medical expenses while also taking care of things at home etc rent, car payments, and meals. No amount is too small and all are greatly appreciated.

I’m also asking you to keep us in your prayers as my family goes through this unexpected time. 

Please help us bring my dad home to his loving dogs, that are waiting for him to walk thru those doors to fill him with kisses.
