Help Us Bring 1617 Coffee To You - One Brew At A Time ☕️

Hey gang - for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Sophia. Proud owner of 1617 Coffee House, wifey, and mum to two amazing kiddos.
Let me take you back to the beginning…
2.5 years ago, we opened the doors to the most beautiful and unique little coffee house - a dream built on love, guts, and great coffee. Within the first three months of opening, I found myself in hospital. Not exactly the start I imagined. But despite the chaos, we kept going - because of you - the incredible community that showed up for us from day one.
Since then, 1617 has grown from strength to strength and it’s all because of you, our loyal customers and friends. You’ve given so much love and support to me and my family, and I’ve always tried to give back in every way I can.
1617 Coffee House isn’t just a coffee house, it’s a home, a safe space to unwind, share stories, have a laugh, or even shed a tear (sometimes me included ). We support local businesses by stocking their products to give them the credit they deserve, we fundraise for charities, go all-out at town events like the Tractor Run, Christmas Light Switch-On, Christmas itself to make it magical for everyone and we even started a free Run Club with a local gym to help keep spirits (and feet!) moving through tough times.
It’s more than just coffee - it’s connection. Community. Heart.
Now, we’re ready for the next chapter and we need your help.
We want to take 1617 on wheels ☕️
Not a bigger shop. Not a second location. But a coffee van - so we can bring our brews, our smiles, and our 1617 vibes directly to you.
We’ve done the odd pop-up at schools and events, and the response has been amazing BUT without a proper van, we just can’t do it to its full potential. We dream of being parked up near the woods, at local events, birthdays, weddings, and milestones you’ve told us about while sat in our coffee house. We want to be there with you and be a part of the moments that matter to you.
Now, I know what some of you might be thinking .. “Why not just save up?"
Believe me, I’ve asked myself the same. And truthfully, this is really hard for me to write. Asking for help isn’t something that comes naturally - but I’ve learned that it’s okay. It’s not desperate. It’s real. And this dream? It’s ours not just mine.
So if you’ve ever sat in our coffee shop and felt a little less alone, laughed over a cuppa, or felt inspired to chase your own dreams — I’m asking you to help us keep spreading that magic, one brew at a time.
This van is for all of us.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Much love always,
Soph xoxo
