After 3 years working as a youth and family counselor for kids with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Josh found out his company was cutting back due to changes in insurance and Medicare and Medicaid funding. That cut meant his last day of work was October 2nd.

Over the last month and a half, he has been applying to all sorts of jobs and he has applied for unemployment in the meantime. Due to so many in the same boat, he hasn’t found a job or seen any unemployment as the processing can take up to 12 weeks!

We hoped to have other options, but rent is due Monday and on my income alone, we can’t cover it. This is heartbreaking and humbling to ask for any amount that could help us get by right now. Josh has a job starting on the 8th, and while it’s part-time, we hope it will build to full-time or be combined with another job soon. Thank you for any support you can provide during this time.
