I never imagined I would be writing this, but I'm reaching out during one of the most difficult moments my family has faced.
In 2024, I was forced into early retirement from a long-term career, five years earlier than planned. Since then, I have worked tirelessly to secure full-time employment while doing everything possible to keep my household afloat. Despite my best efforts, including driving rideshare, applying to dozens of positions, and seeking every available assistance program, my income gap has continued longer than expected.
I am currently enrolled in an FHA trial loan modification plan on my home. This plan is designed to help homeowners recover, but it comes with strict deadlines. I was faced with an immediate required payment by January 15, 2026, which has been extended to January 30. This occurring a few days after my new job officially begins on January 26. The timing could not be more painful.
If I can bridge this short window, I can stabilize, resume regular payments, and keep my children in the only home they know.
I am not asking for charity without purpose. Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• An urgent mortgage trial payment
• Preventing foreclosure proceedings
• Stabilizing housing while employment income begins
This is a temporary crisis, not a permanent situation. I can get through this moment and continue forward with dignity.
If you're able to give, share, or send encouragement, my family and I would be deeply grateful. Even small contributions add up quickly and time truly matters.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us during this critical moment.
With gratitude,
Latina
