Aloha Everyone,
My name is Stewart Williams, I graduated from The Kamehameha Schools Kapalama in 1989. This is where I first met my lifelong friend Joshua Jardine. After becoming classmates and football teammates, we developed a relationship closer to a brotherhood than just a friend. Josh’s family has roots in the Moku of Wai’anae, as well as the Moku of Ko’olau Loa. He's a true blue friend and a genuinely good person. He is always there to help whenever it’s needed as evidenced by his assistance throughout the years at baby luau’s, KS reunion events, weddings, parties or whatever. Unfortunately, the time has come when Josh and his family are in dire need of any support which you would be able to provide. Joshua’s dedicated and loving wife Kanani has been battling Cancer since April of 2017 when she was suddenly made aware of numerous masses and lesions in her lungs which were identified as metaplastic Thymoma. Since then Kanani has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy treatment as well as numerous biopsies and procedures to remove masses from her lungs and brain. While enduring and battling this horrible foe, Josh and Kanani, with the help of family and friends, have continued to rear, love, and support their family which consists of one son and four daughters. Justice, their twenty one year old son, attends Midamerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas where he participated in football as well as academics. Sixteen year old JahNay is a junior at Wai’anae High School, and she keeps the family busy attending her numerous volleyball practices and games. Jodecee, who is fifteen, is a freshman at Wai’anae High School, and she also is involved with volleyball. Nine year old Jenniah is a 3rd grader at Leihoku Elementary, and their youngest child, Jurnee, is four years old. While Kanani has fought the fight, Josh, who is an Adult Corrections Officer at OCCC, has continued to work when possible, and they both have carried on to give the children a great life. It has come to the point that Kanani’s battle has taken a toll on her to a point that Josh needs to be around to provide constant care for her. Also, in January of 2019, the tentative plan is for them to travel to The City of Hope in California to continue her treatment. This phase of treatment is scheduled to take approximately three months. I beg that anyone who sees this communication can find it in there hearts to provide much needed assistance to Josh and Kanani during these trying times. If anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
