Ashton Bradley was born 6.26.25 with Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR) and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). He had a hole in his heart and his pulmonary veins were connected incorrectly preventing oxygen to flow through his body effectively. During his first 10 days of life, Ashton was being monitored closely at Children’s Hospital in Omaha. His oxygen levels were consistent enough to be sent home for a month to grow in preparation for surgery. On August 5th Ashton had open heart surgery successfully closing the hole and attaching the veins to the left side of his heart. Praise the Lord! After an additional week at Children's, Ashton is now home with big brother, mom and dad, healing and adjusting. As some of you may know this is not an overnight process and will require regular cardiology appointment indefinitely for Ashton.

Shauntel (mom) is maybe the toughest woman I know. While I could fall apart just imaging the situation, she is strong and steadfast to her husband, and her two boys. Sleeping in chairs and sofas at hospitals to never leave Ashtons side all while smiling for son Kaidan so he continues to feel safe and secure.

In addition, two years ago Collin (dad) was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and has been under watch ever since. As a loving father, you can feel his desire to fix it all but some things are out of our control and that lack of control in itself is a challenge to hand over to God. He affectionately refers to himself and his sons as the "discount boys" Shauntel was blessed to receive. I love his humor and determination to care for and support his family to the best of his ability.

Kaidan (first son 2yrs old) has also undergone 2 surgeries within his first two years of life.

As you can tell from this brief summary, they have endured a lot all within a very short timeframe and like any of us would, they need support. Every doctors appointment, surgery, days in the hospital, and recovery time demands time away from your job and that takes a toll on finances right when you need them the most. I am requesting your help for this sweet family. Whether through prayer or financial generosity, we are so grateful we can come to our village when we need a little extra help.
