Hi ☺️

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.

We are Molly and Matt, and we are humbly asking for your help as we continue our journey to become parents. Sharing our story isn’t easy, but we hope that by opening our hearts, we might be able to keep our dream alive. Every act of kindness, whether it’s a donation or sharing our story with others, brings us one step closer to achieving our dream.

Our dream of becoming parents has never changed. It is something we have fought for every single day, despite years of heartbreak, setbacks and overwhelming financial costs. Asking for help is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but we are determined to keep fighting for the chance to have our family.

I was born with a rare condition called MRKH syndrome, which means I was born without a uterus. Around 1 in 5,000 women are affected. Although I have ovaries and can produce eggs, I am unable to carry a pregnancy myself.

Finding out I have MRKH was devastating. I felt like my heart had been ripped out. Becoming a mum has always been my biggest dream, and being told I could never carry my own baby felt like my world had fallen apart. Despite everything, I’ve always held onto one thought: one day, I will hold my baby. That hope has carried me through the hardest days.

Unfortunately, while many couples are granted one NHS-funded round of IVF, people in our situation do not qualify. This means every step of our journey has been privately funded.

Over the years, we have already spent more than £50,000 trying to become parents. We’ve poured every spare penny into this dream. The costs have included IVF medications, egg collections, creating embryos, embryo freezing, surrogate agency fees, surrogate medications, embryo transfers, legal expenses, and many other costs that come with fertility treatment and surrogacy.

Sadly, despite everything, our journey has been filled with heartbreak. We have created embryos twice and experienced an unsuccessful embryo transfer. Then, most painfully of all, we lost our baby with our previous surrogate. Those moments have broken our hearts, but they haven't taken away our dream of becoming Mum and Dad.

We are now hoping to create more embryos. To be eligible to join the uterus transplant waiting list, we need to have five PGT-A tested embryos. A womb transplant could give me the chance to experience pregnancy and give birth to a baby of our own, something I never thought would be possible after being born without a uterus and being told I’d never be able to carry a child.

If a uterus transplant isn’t possible, creating more embryos would also give us another chance to continue our surrogacy journey, and, we hope, finally welcome our baby into the world.

Surrogates are the most selfless and incredible people. They give families like ours a chance at something we could never achieve on our own - the opportunity to become parents. We have already experienced both the joy and heartbreak that can come with surrogacy, but despite everything, we still believe in it with all our hearts.

Our dream is simply to welcome our little boy or girl into the world, however that journey unfolds. Whether that is through a womb transplant or with the extraordinary kindness of a surrogate, we will never stop fighting to become Mum and Dad.

Every day, we find ourselves imagining the little moments that so many families get to experience. Hearing a tiny voice call us “Mum” and “Dad” for the very first time. Seeing our dog play with them, reading bedtime stories, celebrating birthdays, family holidays, Christmas mornings, and watching our child grow into the person they’re meant to be.

Those ordinary moments are extraordinary to us because they are everything we’ve dreamed of.

If you’re able to support us, please know that you are giving us far more than financial help. You’re giving us hope. Hope that one day, after everything we’ve been through, we might finally get the chance to welcome our child into our family.

No matter how big or small, every donation will go directly towards helping us continue our journey to parenthood. Whether you donate or simply share our story, you are helping bring us one step closer to achieving the dream we have fought so hard for, and we will be forever grateful.

We promise to keep everyone updated as we move forward. We don't know exactly what our future holds, but we do know one thing: whatever path our journey takes, whether through a womb transplant or surrogacy, we will continue to fight for the chance to become parents. Our greatest hope is that one day we will have the privilege to tell our child just how loved, hoped for and fought for they have always been.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story, for your kindness, and for believing in our dream.

With love,

Molly & Matt
