Hell of a year uh?
It's been a particularly hard one for our family. Dad passed away in October of last year. The Holidays of course were not that cheery. I had to quit my job and while waiting for job opportunities, the pandemic hit and there those opportunities went, and just last week our good boy Maximus passed away.
And while it hasn't been easy, through it all we had each other, our love, our laughter, and our health.
Until yesterday.
The backbone of our family, our bedrock, my Honey Bunches of Oats, my beautiful wife Sandra was diagnosed with breast cancer.
We cried.
We told our family members and our closest friends.
We made a battle plan.
This is part of that battle plan.
Her doctors will recommend/reference her to the best oncologists in Houston, Texas.
We need Sandra in Houston as soon as possible.
Doing some research, the average cost of her treatment may be between $25,000 and $50,000 USD.
Having never done a campaign, we decided to try and raise $20,000 to help with medical bills (we have no insurance), the regular bills, travel expenses to and from Houston, and other expenses from now until the beginning of the year.
We hope that by then, things go back to normal (as much as they can probably get back to normal), I find a steady job, and Sandra's treatments are well underway and continuous until she gets better - SHE WILL GET BETTER.
Every bit helps. Please spread the word. I am by no means a wonderful man, but I can assure you that somehow (still don't know how), I married a very, very wonderful woman. She's a great daughter and sister, an incredible wife, and an even more incredible mother.
Sandra will get better because through it all we have each other, our love, and our laughter. And that will NEVER change.
Thank you all for helping us beat this thing.
