Help Us Stay Close to Our Baby in the NICU
Our sweet baby girl is currently in the NICU receiving the specialized care she needs. While we are so thankful for the doctors and nurses taking care of her, this has placed our family in an incredibly difficult position.
We live an hour and a half away from the hospital, and the drive is through the mountains—long, exhausting, and hard on our vehicle. Making that trip daily is not only financially straining but also physically draining with three toddlers at home, a traumatic birth for Mom, and a difficult recovery. The hospital does have parent rooms available, but because Mom is less than two weeks postpartum, she isn’t allowed to stay in them due to liability policies. The Ronald McDonald House—which is usually a lifeline for families like ours—is unfortunately closed for construction right now, leaving us with no affordable place nearby.
This means that if Dad goes to work to support our family, Mom has to stay home with our toddlers, leaving no one able to be by our baby’s side during this critical time. If Dad stays with the baby, we fall behind financially. We are caught in an impossible situation: wanting to be present for all of our children while also keeping a roof over our heads.
We are reaching out for help to cover the costs of temporary lodging near the hospital, food, travel, and the lost income from Dad not being able to work while we focus on our baby’s care. Any support—whether financial, prayers, or simply sharing our story—means the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us stay close to our little one when she needs us most.
