On Christmas Day, I tried to call my mother, but she didn’t answer. Worried, I asked for a welfare check, and the police found her in her RV. She had passed away in her sleep, and they believe she suffered a seizure. My mom was everything to me, my five children, and our whole family. We talked to her every day, and her loss has left a huge hole in our lives, especially during the holidays when family means so much.
Right now, things are really tight for us financially because of the holidays. What we need most is to be together with our family in Texas, to grieve and support each other through this heartbreaking time. The expenses of traveling and being away from home are more than we can manage right now, but being with our loved ones is so important for our healing.
To whoever is able to help me and my family, we would really appreciate it. Your support would mean the world to us and would help us grieve the way we need to—with our family and friends by our side.
